I am copying here from Winning Therapy as found on Instagram. It's worthwhile.
Elon Musk read for up to 10 hours a day as a child, including the entire Encyclopedia Britannica by age 9. When asked how he built SpaceX, he simply replied, "I read books."
Andrew Carnegie was destined for a life of poverty. Then a wealthy local opened his library to working-class kids. The books he read during that time changed the trajectory of his life forever.
Warren Buffett spends 80% of his day reading. When asked for advice, he said, "Read 500 pages every day. Knowledge builds up like compound interest."
Mark Cuban has spent over 3 hours a day reading since his early 20s. "Everything I read was public. The same information was available to anyone who wanted it. Turns out most people didn't want it."
Bill Gates reads 50 books a year. He calls books "the key to my success" and uses them to gain an edge in everything he does.
Less than 30% of Americans read more than one book a year. Meanwhile, the most successful people in the world devour them like their lives depend on it.
If you want to build a better life, start by building a better mind.
Read books!
And I might add, encourage others, especially your children, to do the same.
Speaking of children, we have a special day for one today. Happy Birthday, RJ. You're growing up so fast - and such talent. It is amazing. Here holding his cousin's child, Mac.
