CINCINNATI
Last Sunday I gave a list of weather highs and lows for the city. Here is one I omitted. In 1881, the Ohio river fell to a depth of 1'11" - less than two feet deep. A few years later, 1884, it reached a height of over 71' - the second highest crest ever.
The normal pool for our river, after the current dams were installed in 1952, is about 25'. Flood stage is considered 52'.
