RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

I DIDN'T KNOW THAT

I'm still thinking a lot about my eyes since my surgery.  I learned something that I didn't know and, maybe, you didn't know either.

My vision has cleared now in both eyes.  I've been slightly disappointed in my long and short distance vision - things look pretty good in between.  It turns out that the new lenses which were implanted are not working exactly as they should, quite yet.  I knew that our pupil expands and contracts as necessary depending on the amount of light.  I didn't realize that our lenses bend as necessary depending on how close or far we are trying to see.  Little muscles in our eyes do that - mine are still learning how to do it or are waiting for the swelling from the surgery to completely subside.

I think I'm going to try and be patient for another few weeks.  I know, I'm the most patient patient you will ever find but I do get a little antsy, at times.

"See you later."

"All the better to see you with, my dear."

"I see," said the blind man."

The Ayes, have it.
