THE DL

Update on those on the DL (disabled list).

My mom's femur has been put back together with a plate and some screws. The doctor said she had good bones. They expect her to sit up in a chair and be able to raise herself up by today and walk a little by tomorrow. They don't know she couldn't stand up out of a chair by herself the day before she broke her leg.

Stacey has been given the go ahead to run again after her stress fracture. This time she should try running in her pool.

My stress fracture in the foot continues to bother me. Hopefully, I'll be ready to go by this weekend's games.

Andy's terrible ear infection has not cleared up yet. Blood coming from the ear is a scary thing. This is further complicated by his severe bout of asthma. Sleeping in the street in Greenville will do that to you.

Jeff is hanging in there in the Cleveland Clinic. Some days are better than others. He is awake and alert now. They pulled him from his induced coma last week and then put him back under.

Frank's head is aching just like a person's with a brain in it. I think he lost something in South America last week. Now I hear he's going back next week to see if he can find it.

Amy's hair is growing uncontrollably. She is approaching her 'big hair 80's' look.

Suzanne is still inflicted with sleeping sickness.

Shelley is considering having another beauty mark removed -- this time from her back. If only she had freckles like the rest of us...

At least no one has Ed Zachery syndrome.
