This weekend at Catholic mass, you will hear three stories; each drawing the reader to the same question. What is the difference between the way we do things - the way we think and the way God does things - the way He seems to think? It is often a challenge for us to understand that God's way is not the necessarily the way that seems obvious to us. Our idea of fairness or justice is sometimes seen by us through a narrow aperture. We don't see the whole picture.
So how are we going to deal with our human brain sometimes misunderstanding God's way. The answer is simple. To understand anything, knowledge of it is required. Not only that, to love anything, knowledge is required. To know Him is to love Him. The more you know about God, the more you will not only understand Him; you will love Him.
When you dose in the pew this weekend, think about that. Search for knowledge. Listen to the preacher describe God; read what is written about God; talk to God. Seek Him and you will find Him.
Have a blessed weekend.
