DISEASES
OK, here a list for you. Diseases I've had with ages and notes to the best of my recollection.
1) Scarlet Fever - 6 years old - the doctor came to our house - I was quarantined
2) Chicken Pox - 7 years old - 1st grade - had to wear a band aid over a big sore on my chin while I was making my first communion so as not to scare the other parents
3) Mumps - 11 years old - mild case
4) Glandular Fever (mononucleosis) - 17 years old - missed my girl friend's prom (she married me anyway)- mild case
5) Pneumonia - 35 years old - that's really being sick
6) Shingles- 45 years old - mild case
7) Hemorrhoids - 50 years old - don't go there
8) CAD (cardiac artery disease) - 55 years old - mild case
9) Skin cancer (squamous cell carcinoma) - 56 years old - small spot
That's not a very big list. I've been very lucky. I still have my appendix and my tonsils and only broke a bone once. I've always had seasonal allergies which are usually not too severe. I have to guard against infected sinus cavities. Colds (if they are not cured early on) tend to end up as bronchitis. I don't see well at all, near or far. I needed glasses long before I got them at age 21. And last but not least, premature hair loss.
