REDS

REDS

ESPN runs a fan poll every day. Yesterday it asked if you thought the Reds would make the playoffs. 57% said no.

The interesting thing is they break down the vote by state. Nine states voted in the affirmative. Four states were 50-50. Of course, the other 37 states thought they would not make the playoffs.

Of the nine states voting that they thought the Reds would make the playoffs, three were Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. All of these states are close enough to be fans. One of the others was Washington. I think a lot of Seattle people still follow Ken Griffey Jr. Nearby Oregon was a neutral state. They voted 50-50 along with Indiana, North and South Carolina. South Carolina is manager Jerry Narron's home state. I think Alaska, Idaho, Wyoming and New Dakota voted in a bloc with Washington. Why New Hampshire voted for the Reds, I have no idea. The international vote was against the Reds by the same margin as the national vote.

Incidentally, Florida said "No". Come on Floridians.
