THE CINCINNATI REDS

THE CINCINNATI REDS

The Reds were completely outclassed by the defending world series champion Chicago White Sox when they were in town. They really don't match up very well with the Detroit Tigers, either. Interleague play has shown just how weak the National League is compared to the American League this year. It looks like the Reds are one of the top five teams in the National League. This year that only puts them in the top 20 teams in all of baseball.

Nonetheless, they are in a virtual tie for first place in their division at the halfway point of their season. The team everyone picked to be last in the division is 44 and 37. Can you beat that? Who would've thunk it?

A little history. In 2004, at the half way point, the Reds were 44 and 37. They finished the season 10 games under .500 and 29 games behind the Cards.

It shouldn't be that bad this year. The Cards are almost as bad as the Reds.
