I see where Rocky Balboa is about to hit the theaters. Its over 16 years since the last Rocky movie and 30 years since the original. This would be Rocky VI if they chose to call it that. I love these flicks. Sylvester Stallone did himself proud but so did Bill Conti.

Bill Conti is a musical director who specializes in movies. In addition to all six Rocky movies, he did The Right Stuff for which he won an Oscar, the James Bond hit For Your Eyes Only, The Karate Kid trilogy, The Thomas Crown Affair, and dozens more.

Gonna Fly Now and Eye of the Tiger are two songs on my iPod. Music can stir memories even in old worn out minds like mine. That's pretty neat.
