SENSES
We are sensual creatures. Everything we know comes to us through our senses. All of our judgements come through comparisons. Hot would not be hot unless we experienced cold. Loud would not be loud unless we experienced quiet. Good smells and good tastes would not be good unless we experienced bad smells and bad tastes. Beauty would not be beautiful unless we had seen ugly.
The question now comes: would we know good without evil? Because of the way we are built, we probably wouldn't appreciate it. Then, is the devil a necessary evil? Are bad people good for us?
I've got to think about this a little further. What do you think?
