WHEN I WAS A KID

WHEN I WAS A KID

When I was a kid, newspapers were folded so that they could be thrown accurately. Rubber bands were not available. Plastic bags, like we have now, didn't exist. As a result, to be a good newspaper delivery boy you had to learn how to fold a newspaper so that you could throw it accurately from the sidewalk to the porch. Newspapers couldn't be left in the yard or on an open walkway or in a driveway for fear it would rain. They had to go onto the porch. Its a lost art today.
