ICE SKATES
The oldest known ice skates were found at the bottom of a lake in Switzerland. Scientists date them to 3000 BC. The runners were made from bones of cattle. They were ground down until they had a flat running surface. Leather tongs were attached to tie them to the feet. No one mentioned if there were feet still in them when they were found!
