SQUIRREL WARS

Its that time of year again. We've had our first snow. Its time to feed the wild birds. Its also time to chase the dang squirrels away from the feeder. I don't like to admit it but, last year, the squirrels won the war.



Well, I've had almost a year to develop new tactics and this is what I've come up with. I'm told that birds don't have taste buds. Actually birds eat whatever they eat - whole. They don't chew. I'm going to try adding cayenne pepper to the bird seed. I'm pretty sure the squirrels will avoid it. Time will tell if the birds go for it. I just hope they don't get diarrhea.
