RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

BACKWARDS PEOPLE

It is estimated that about 10% of the world population is left-handed. I don't know why, but they are. As a result, the world is built for right-handers. Nine out of ten of us don't realize that. I feel sorry for the lefties unless they can throw a baseball over the plate at ninety miles-per-hour.

Tools, utensils, musical instuments, sports equipment, automobiles, games, and on and on are made to fit and be easily used by right-handers. Everything that requires a left to right twist is harder for a left-hander eg. light bulbs, wine corkscrews, clock winding tabs and screws to name a few.

The number pad on your keyboard is on the right side. The gear shifter of your car is on the right side. Almost everything that needs adjustment in your car is to the right of the driver.

We write and read from left to right. Southpaws have to curl their writing hand around to get the standard right leaning slope to their letters.

So, as a result, left-handers never make much of themselves.

Au contraire!

Look at this list of lefties!
