CINCINNATI SPORTS LAST WEEK

After a good series in Milwaukee, the Reds stunk it up in Pittsburgh and finished the week going 2-5. Their overall record is now 6-7. If you're looking for problems, try Adam Dunn hitting .167 including one home run and ten strike outs. He's not much behind Edwin Encarnacion who is hitting .179 and Scott Hatteberg at .190. So much for the power part of your line-up.

Greater Cincinnatian, Steve Flesch, made a good run at the Masters Tournament but faltered near the end. He finished tied for fifth. Oak Hills H.S grad Brett Wetterich missed the cut by one stroke.

Hamilton High's boys basketball coach, Larry Allen, has resigned after 11 years in that position. A successor has not been named. Former Cincinnati Red, Todd Benzinger, is out as Loveland H.S. girls basketball coach. His contract was not renewed.

Cincinnati Harmony Community School senior, Terrell Holloway, has orally committed to Xavier. The 6'0" point guard had originally committed to Indiana University, but was given his release when Kelvin Sampson was fired.
