REDS

The Reds introduced some black in their uniforms a couple of years ago. It was a more modern and updated look and a departure from the red and white (red and grey on the road) uniforms they've used for years. Well, you may not have known that the Reds' uniforms from the 1930's to the early 1950's included an equal amount of navy blue. Before that, the Reds, like all other teams, wore plain white or gray...only the socks and hat distinguished them. This is the reason that there are teams named the Red Sox and White Sox now and that the Reds were once called the Redstockings.
