SOFTBALL

Back in town and back at it. They got rained out last week when I was away. Now we have Games scheduled for the next three Sundays to make up for the rain outs.

Last night we had a strange game. We lost 7-5 to a team we should have beaten. I played outfield - flawlessly and went 1 for 3. Twice I hit the ball hard for outs but it was the bleeder that turned into a bloop hit. We gave up all seven in the first three innings on terrible defense. We just couldn't hit when we needed it. We left the bases loaded with our number 4 hitter at the plate to end the sixth. We had runners on second and third when the game ended on a line out to third. It took a lot of beer to get over that one.
