DRIVE-THRU

This shocks me. Drive-up banking windows go back as far as 1920. On this date in 1946, the first drive-thru teller windows were installed in a branch of the Exchange National Bank in Chicago, Illinois. It wasn't until 1948 that the idea caught on at a burger joint, In-n-Out Burger in Baldwin Park, California. Mcdonalds didn't get it going until 1975. Now we have drive-thru weddings in Las Vegas. We love our cars so much that there is no length that we will not go to stay in them. Some of us were even conceived in them!
