HEIGHT

I'm not embarrased to say it, "I'm afraid of heights." I wasn't always but I think I've grown more afraid over the years. I don't know why. Anyway, on this date in 2004, the Millau Viaduct was officially opened in France. It is the tallest vehicular bridge in the world. Get this! It is four lanes wide, is a little over 8,000 feet long, and has a clearance of 886 feet over the river Tam. The masts that hold it up are taller then the Eiffel Tower and close to the height of the Empire State Building. No Thanks!
