BEN FUHRMAN

Happy Birthday, Ben!

You share this birthday with the great French author, Jules Verne (1828). Verne was the father of the science fiction genre with books like Journey to the Center of the Earth and From the Earth to the Moon, and the classics Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and Around the World in Eighty days. Jules Verne's works included the following before they were ever invented...the automobile, air conditioning, television, helicopters, submarines, picture projectors, jukeboxes and many more. The scariest of all is that this Frenchman had the space craft in From the Earth to the Moon take off from a Florida location and return by splashdown in the ocean...exactly as the Apollo Program did over 100 years later.

Always dream beyond your grasp.
