CINCINNATI SPORTS LAST WEEK

The Bengals were making big news in the opening week of the baseball season. First they added Tank Johnson to their defensive line and their list of ex-cons. Then Leon Hall added himself to the list of those who have found their way into a local court on DUI charges. Will it ever end?

The Reds got off to a typical start; winning one of three against the NL favorite New York Mets. They actually showed signs of being a pretty good team. Joey Votto was the good news in this series. He hit three-run homers in back-to-back games. The Pittsburgh Pirates were in for three on Easter weekend. God rained out the Good Friday game. The other two they split. The highlight was a 3-hit complete game shutout on Sunday by Aaron Harang.
