My wife has gotten into one of her reading streaks. She hasn't read for pleasure in several years and now someone has got her going on a set of novels about vampires. She goes this way; not reading for a long time and then reading one novel after the other.

I must confess, I haven't read a novel in years; maybe twenty years. I used to read for pleasure quite a bit but I can't get myself to do it any more. It could be that I just spend too much time reading news and information type things. It could be that my eyes just can't take long reading sessions like they once could.

In any case, reading is a good thing. Do it while you can. The best part of it is the quiet.
