OLD GUYS RULE

I wear my "Old Guys Rule" T-shirt with pride. In many ways, they do - or I'd like to think they do. That's the way I feel after a good night of softball with my 20 and 30-something teammates.

Anyway, I was so rooting for Tom Watson at the (British) Open Championship this past weekend. My heart was broken when he missed the putt on 18 and lost in a playoff.

On a different level, I've been glued to the Tour de France on Versus. Lance Armstrong (39) is old as far as cyclist go. He's hanging tough but his teammate Alberto Contador is in his prime and looks stronger. Who knows what the next week will bring.

It is one of the great things about sports. It can do so many things to your heart.
