Monday was the 30th birthday of ESPN.
Can you imagine life without ESPN?
Did you know that it stands for the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network?
It got that name because when it was first envisioned there didn't seem like there was enough sports to keep one channel busy all day; they thought they would have to fill in with other entertainment. Ha!

We went from August 11 to September 7 without any appreciable rainfall. I guess we had just enough rain to keep the grass green-n-growing and me mowing.

I went to the dentist for a cleaning today. Is that really necessary every six months?

I don't know why it shocks me every year, but it does...this year more than ever. Most incoming college freshmen this year were born in 1990.
