On Tuesday, UC played Winthrop at Fifth-Third Arena. The Bearcats won 74-57 in one of their better performances. Yancey Gates had 16 for the Cats.
On Wednesday, XU played the hard luck Miami Redhawks at Cintas Center. The went to the wire and the Musketeers won 70-67. Jordan Crawford had 19 points.
On Sunday the Bengals hosted the Kansas City Chiefs with a chance to lock up the Division title. They played an ugly, boring game but prevailed 17-10. Rookie linebacker Ray Maualuga was lost for the rest of the season with a fractured ankle. Cincinnati won the right to play a prime time game next weekend in the Big Apple.
