RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

What was wrong with those mice? Didn't they know that when everyone goes to bed, it is the best time to race around the house looking for food? . . . especially on this night, when people leave cookies out for Santa.

I worked late one day last week and while I was sitting at my desk a mouse ran into my office. I screamed an obscenity at him and he looked at me and turned tail. I think he was pissed that I was still there. Either that, or he didn't like my language. Who would have guessed that a mouse would be so touchy. He probably ended up in the office next to mine. That guy keeps enough food around to keep a family of mice well fed for a long time.
