Today is the day Christians celebrate the Epiphany; the coming of the Three Kings to Bethlehem in search of Emmanuel. In many countries, this is a national holiday. In the Irish tradition, it is known as "Little Christmas" and it was celebrated as such in my house when I was a child. In Ireland, schools stay closed for Christmas vacation through this day. It is also the twelfth day of Christmas and the actual day on which Christmas was celebrated in the old Roman Calendar.
