GENDERCIDE

One of the most revolting stories of the last century was the gender selection that went on in China. Because the country was so poor, the communist government which saw overpopulation as the problem, edicted that each married couple could only have one child. Because sons could work and potentially bring in money, boys were much preferred. Stories were told that girl babies were often hidden and left to die. Modern technology has allowed parents to abort female babies in the womb. Now comes the result. There are currently 30 million more boys than girls in Chinese elementary schools. In ten years, there will be 30 million more men than women of marrying age. Don't blow this off as "they are getting what they deserve." I fear that the fallout will be much worse and, maybe, felt around the world.
