At the office where I work we have about a half-acre lake on the other side of the parking lot. It was landscaped with clumps of tall decorative grass spaced about 20 feet apart and 10 feet from the lake. In the late fall, our landscaper comes in and cuts them off down to about six inches from the ground.
Last year, a pair of Canada Geese chose one of those clumps as a nesting place. A half-dozen eggs were laid there and incubated by the female. I may have written about it. The male is usually nearby. He brings food and takes over for the female when necessary. Other than that, he just squawks when you get near. It was all very cute until they were born and walked across our parking lot dropping little presents as they strode. We couldn't wait until the fledgelings were able to fly.
Well, they're baaaaaaack. Same location - my guess, its the same pair. Some of our people want to make scrambled eggs.
