CINCINNATI SPORTS LAST WEEK

The Reds started the week off with a four game series at GABP with the Pirates. Cincinnati won 3 of 4 and moved back into first place in the division. The only loss occured when Homer Bailey came up with a tight shoulder in the third inning of his start. He had to be placed on the 15-day disabled list.

Chad Ochocinco also went on the DL. He claims he hurt himself lifting weights. He couldn't participate in the finals of Dancing With The Stars.


Moeller H.S. is in the final four for the state baseball division I title. Elder and Moeller are going to the final four for th state volley ball divison I title. Mason is going to the division I finals in Lacrosse and Mariemont is going in division II.

The Astros came to town to face the Reds on the weekend and embarrassed themselves in the first two games. They gave the Reds 15 runs on Friday and 12 on Saturday. On Sunday, the game went into extra innings without any score. The Astros won in the tenth, 2-0. The Reds finished the week with a 30-21 record; in first place by one game over the Cards. On to St. Louis!

Chad O started filming today for his "Ochocinco, the Ultimate Catch" reality show to be viewed on VH1. He meets 85 women who want to date him. If only he had time for football.
