The Reds hosted the Giants to start the week off. They blew the first two while the Cards were also losing. On Wednesday, they topped San Francisco behind Aaron Harang who is now 5-5. On Thursday afternoon, the Reds blasted the Giants to split the series.
Mike Zimmer, Bengals defense coordinator won the Halas Award as the NFL person who overcame the most adversity to succeed last season. Mike's wife died suddenly during the season and the Bengals had a top rated defense.
The Kansas City Royals were in for a weekend set. The Reds blew the opener in extra innings and ended up losing two of three. They finished the week still in first place in their division.
