The Reds started the week in Oakland playing the A's after having been swept by the Mariners last weekend. The Reds turned the tables and swept the A's; winning three tight games.
The Bengals finished up their OTA's (organized team activities). New offense and defense is introduced during this period. Training camp is next on the agenda.
UC grad, Tony Pike, signed a four-year contract with the Carolina Panthers. The QB was their sixth round pick. This is no guarantee he will make the team.

Xavier's Jordan Crawford was selected by the New Jersey Nets in the first round of the NBA draft. UC's Lance Stephenson was selected by the Indianapolis Pacers in the second round.
The Reds finished the week at home with three against the Indians. They won the first two but lost on Sunday 5-3. They finish the week 1/2-game ahead of the Cards in the NL Central.
