Well, that hunk of calcium that I saw on my right foot x-ray has got to stay where it is. It's enclosed in my Achilles tendon. It's too dangerous to try to extract it. I just have to get rid of the Achilles tendinitis.
The doctor's suggestion was to go into a cast for four to six weeks. This would be a removable cast I could take off at night or when I sat for a long time. She was sure that would do it. Then, I would have to go into therapy to get my foot and lower leg back to normal. I didn't go for that.
I've opted to wear running shoes with gel inserts every day. I promise not to complain.
