OBAMACARE

The New York Times produced an interesting article on Thursday about the implementation of the first wave of new health care laws. It seems the government has resorted to giving out dozens of waivers to individual employers and insurance companies (covering about one million people) in order to avoid a big backlash about the new rules it is attempting to put into effect. One of the employers that it mollified was McDonald's which threatened to cut all coverage to its employees. Some insurance companies threatened to go out of business or reduce the number of states in which it did business. This whole health care deal could end up in a worse mess than even I thought it would.
