In January, Suzanne had me rush her to the hospital on a Friday night with a kidney stone and kidney infection. They operated on Saturday and kept her three days. The temperature didn't get above freezing until the 13th of the month. Stacey and Scot got two new cars to become a four-car family. In February, Andy and Missy got a new Mazda and we got a new Honda. Suzanne had a follow-up procedure to extract more kidney stones. It snowed every other day for three weeks and we ended up with about 18 inches in our yard. It stayed there the whole month. In March, we had a little more snow but got out of the deep freeze after the first week of the month. Frank was given the word that he would be named president of The Dupps Company. Andy got promoted to Regional Manager by Aurora. I got to go to Minnesota for a week. Suzanne was back in the hospital for a kidney stone extraction procedure. Evan was in Children's Hospital for an operation on the same day. Ouch! Stacey visited for the weekend of birthdays. Scot's grandma Snider died suddenly in Texas and a service was held here on Suzanne's birthday. Frank & Shell spent spring break at Anna Maria and Stacey & Ben were there too. Frank spent a day at the Masters on the way home. Ryan had a harrowing experience he never wants to have again. Milo had a birthday party at Lunkin Airport. Ben was Confirmed in April. Frank, Shell and the kids attended. The Dupps now have more dogs than kids - Jed has arrived. Evan made his first communion and a party followed. Ryan and Joe attended their school prom. Andy and Missy and the kids went to Florida for a week and Andy officiated at Jason and Alyssa's wedding. Jack graduated from BLS and Ryan from Martin County High. We were in Palm City for Ryan's ceremony. Frank and Shell finished their pool in June. Suzanne went on Social Security. Frank took over presidency of the Dupps Company on July 1. Suzanne, Shelley and I went to Florida; Scot, Ryan and Joe went to SoCal; Ben went to Cumberland and then Ohio; Amy, Jeff and the boys went to Kiawah for a week with their friends. My softball team won our league championship. In August, Andy and Missy redid their backyard patio. My foot problem was diagnosed as Achilles tendinitis. Andy, Missy and the kids camped out for a night at Winton Woods. Grandkids were playing fall sports in all locations. Ben was racking up the miles on a real good cross country team. Drew spent a week at Camp Kerns. Ryan was finding out what fun it is to deal with the public. Milo started pre-school and liked it. Maddie got reintroduced to her school books. Joe fought with differential equations, integration, functional derivatives and other ridiculous posers. In October, Amy went to work with her Dad (no it was not kid's day at the office). I finally sold THE house. Andy and Lucy were taken in by the Walla-Walla tribe. In November, we had the sports highlight of the year. Ben Fuhrman and his Martin County HS cross country teammates went to State again. This time they moved up to 10th place in the state with Ben placing 4th on the team. Awesome! December brought wicked snow to SE Ohio. Stacey took on her new job with in-class teaching of severely handicapped students. Ohio Christmas was held at Missy and Andy's house. To wrap up a great year, we visited the Fuhrman's in Florida. It was cold but enjoyable as always. I was asleep at 10pm on New Years Eve.
