EASTER

Easter is a movable feast. The date it occurs each year is dependent on the sun and the moon. It is always on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox. The vernal equinox is the first day of Spring - usually March 20 or 21. This year Easter comes extraordinarily late. (see from the chart below) This is good for the economy. More clothes are purchased for Easter Sunday when the weather is nice and the later in the year it occurs the more likely we are to have good weather.
