Yes, with the purchase of my new Prius, I'm very conscience of fuel consumption. In the Prius, I am getting about 48 miles per gallon. A few years ago, I took a Boeing 747 on a long flight to Australia. That plane carries about 400,000 lbs of jet fuel which equals about 60,000 gallons. What kind of mileage do you think it gets. Sit down. It gets about 1,000 feet per gallon. That is feet not miles. That is five gallons per mile. The length of the whole plane is about 250 feet. A gallon is used up every four or five plane lengths it travels. Amazing! :-)
