Thanksgiving was all about food. Stacey fixed a late breakfast fit for a king...eggs and pancakes and sausage and bacon. When that wrapped up, she started on dinner. The turkey had been in the oven since early morning. She put together my favorite corn casserole, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberries and rolls. We had a nice merlot, some blackberry sweet wine for the ladies and sparkling grape juice for the underaged. Dinner was at four but we waited about two hours before we had our dessert of either pumpkin or pecan pie. In the afternoon, I took a bike ride to justify all this eating. Football was on the TV, of course. Stacey's apple cider recipe was available all day. I went to bed early - exhausted from all this eating.
