One week and a day before Christmas and it starts. College football bowl season is here. ESPN says there are 35 bowl games in 24 days. Seventy teams get to play in bowl games...seventy out of about 115 who play division one football. When I was a kid, there were just six or seven bowl games and they were all played on New Years day to the best of my recollection. Even though I love the sport, I don't think that what we have now is an improvement. It's all about the bucks.
