I talk a lot about words. There is one group of people who have their own special set of words . . . they're not special words, they're just special because of the way they are said by whom they are said. This special language is coach-speak...especially football coaches and particularly those with a southern twang. I just love to hear it no matter how trite it seems. I'm talking about words like 'character' and 'adversity' and 'courage' and 'battle' and 'leverage' and 'competitor' and 'scheme' and 'pride' and 'maturity' and 'focus'. If you master these ten words, you can be a football coach for a long time. I'm convinced of it.
