YEAR IN REVIEW

In past years, I kept track and made notes as the year went along for this blog.  This year I didn't do that.  Here are a few of my personal high/lowlights from memory.

I bought a Prius in January ... I haven't regretted it a minute.  Suzanne went into the hospital with the intention of having a large kidney stone removed but they didn't get it done ... we spent most of the year fighting with the hospital over those bills.  Stacey and Scot adopted a cute little mutt they call Enzo.  We had a wonderful trip to Ireland with Frank, Shelley, Jack and Maddie ... the kids have become young adults.  I played softball again ... but it wasn't pretty.  Joe went off to school in Gainesville and was surprised with a full scholarship.  Ryan went to school in Tallahassee.  I installed a garage door opener for Suzanne.  We had our driveway replaced and a new walk put in.  Lucy played on a championship soccer team.  Milo got his first taste of organized sports.  Andrew was the starting QB on the 7th grade football team.  We went to see Ben run in the Florida State High School cross country race and had a great Thanksgiving at Scot and Stacey's place.  We got replacement windows in the house and replaced the sliding doors with a wall and window.  Suzanne was primed to make another try at her kidney stone but was thwarted almost before she began.  We celebrated a happy Christmas with all the Ohioans at Jeff and Amy's place ... even though Evan took a sleep walking dive the night before.  I hope everyone has a merry, safe, healthy new year.
:-)
