TRILLION

The national debt is on my mind again.  As my debt clock shows we are over $15 trillion dollars in debt which someone, I guess my children and their children and their children, will have to pay.  Anyway, here is what a trillion dollars is.

If you spend one dollar every second, you would spend a million dollars in 12 days.
 
If you kept spending one dollar every second, which is a million dollars every 12 days, you would spend a billion dollars in 32 years.

If you kept spending one dollar every second, which is a million dollars every 12 days, and which is a billion dollars every 32 years, you would spend a trillion dollars in a little over 31,000 years.

I can't believe we got this far in debt.  Someone will have to pay.  It will probably be the downfall of our country.
