RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

WINTER

Winter finally arrived in the Ohio Valley this weekend.  You could see a solid covering of snow if you didn't sleep too late on Saturday.  My spring bulbs, which popped up last week, were topped with icing .  Bright sunshine accompanied the cold blast and melted some of the sugar before I could stick my finger in it.

The Reds staff packed up this weekend for their bustrip to Arizona for spring training.  Pitchers and catchers must report a week from today.  I was shocked to hear they take 90 dozen of baseballs.  (Sounds like my wife packing for a trip)  That's over a thousand balls...and I thought I lost a lot of balls on the golf course.  What do they do with all those balls?

Both of our local college basketball teams were pathetic, yesterday.  March may not be as mad this year.

:-)
