I walked around the lake at Sharon Woods after work on Monday. It was a beautiful evening. The lake is very high from all the rain we've had. In a few spots you would get the whiff of the putrid odors that comes with stagnate water. That was offset by the smell of honeysuckle and early weeds. I feel sorry for those made miserable by allergies. Its a blessing to be immune.
The most interesting things to see were the newborn ducklings. They were all around the lake. I also saw some unhatched eggs in the grass just off of the walkway. Kids were watching them, eagerly. I've never seen an egg crack from within and produce a chick, duckling or gosling. I'll have to work on that.
