One Summer when I was in the 5th or 6th grade, I took a Saturday morning class at the Natural History Museum in Cincinnati which was on Central Parkway at that time. I went with Donny Wuebbling, a neighbor in my class. I think we took the bus. It was all about geology, I suppose. I know I brought home a new rock or mineral each week. I ended up with a whole box full of quartz, marble, limestone, granite, mica, and fossil samples of various kinds. I kept them for a long time but don't know what happened to them. I suppose they eventually ended up at the bottom of a gold fish bowl.
