CLASSIC?

I blogged back on the 7th that I hoped the proposed new venue for the Crosstown Shootout didn't cause the event to live up to its name.  Well, the official announcement was made on Thursday about the change in venue to a neutral downtown site but also that the name of the event had been changed.  (Maybe the powers-that-be had the same fear that I had.)  Now the official name is the Crosstown Classic.  Oh yeah, that should do it.  No problems now.  Ridiculous!  As if the name of the event or its location had anything to do with the fight last year.  I've been to the Shootout at a neutral site.  I saw a great game but none of the college atmosphere that it deserved.  How to ruin a great event.
