Fox News reports that U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has gone to Vietnam and landed in Cam Ranh Bay where I was stationed during the war. He is there to encourage the Vietnamese to help locate and identify more of the U.S. war dead who are still missing.
We have six recovery teams and two investigative teams in Vietnam searching for troop remains. There are about 1,200 unaccounted for service members believed to be in Vietnam.
How sad.
