RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

WHISTLING IN THE WIND

I never could whistle very well.  Oh, I can carry a tune weakly with a standard whistle but I never could make a loud whistle.  I have always been jealous of those who could stick both index fingers in their mouth and make a loud shriek.  I may work on that in my retirement.

I was never much at making strange noises by sqeezing my cupped hand under my arm pit, either.  But, when I was a kid, I could make a pretty interesting noise by blowing into my hands across a blade of grass held between my thumbs; that I was proud of.
