REDS PITCHERS

In case you didn't notice, the Reds have had the great fortune of starting the same five (5) pitchers all year.  This almost never happens.  Usually someone will pitch so poorly, they will need to be replaced.  Usually someone will sustain an injury and need to be replaced.  The Reds have avoided both situations.  It is probably the number one reason they have such a good record.  This is great for getting into the playoffs but not such a big deal when you get there.  Playoff teams only need three (3) starters to win a series.  Teams with five (5) good starters lose that advantage when they get to the playoffs.  But, then again, maybe I'm getting way ahead of myself.
