RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

WHEN I WAS A KID ...

While driving to work the other day, I was thinking about how almost no one drives with their windows open.  The only time most car windows are lowered is at the ATM or fast food drive-thru.

When I started driving, the windows were almost always down in good weather.  I had a buddy who drove around in the dead of Winter with his windows down and his heater on high...he wanted to be seen.   It certainly was easier to see a person in another car and you could hear what radio station they had on.  In the Cincinnati area, it was always WSAI-AM...there was no FM.

Windows weren't tinted back then.  If you didn't want someone to see in your car, for instance late at night in a park or drive-in, you and a young lady could steam up those windows in no time.
